Ryan Bachiochi is a Curriculum Developer for Konica Minolta Inc. However, his job requires him to do much more than that. He formats and improves the English on translated documents from Japan, and he develops and designs web or computer based training applications (technical education) for numerous different things, such as new hardware models and tutorials for different software programs. These training applications allow for embedded sound, images and videos to help the learning process.
He is also in charge of recording and editing the audio required to narrate these training applications. At the end of the training application a test is then given to the trainees and if they pass it is moved off to their file with a certification for that piece of hardware/software. Some of the tools that he uses to complete this process are: The Adobe CS3 Suite, Microsoft Powerpoint, Flash and Actionscript, Dreamweaver for XML coding, Sony Sound Forge for audio editing, and a program called Articulate, which converts Powerpoint slides into a flash format for use in the training applications. Ryan’s job really includes much more than developing a curriculum; his designs help the rest of the company to succeed.
